Evening Classes Canceled on Wednesday, Feb. 25

The University of South Carolina Upstate will cancel all evening classes, beginning at 5 p.m.,  for Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015. This includes classes in Spartanburg and Greenville.

The Library will close at 5 p.m. The Wellness Center will close at 8 p.m.

A decision regarding a delay or closing for Thursday, Feb. 26 will be announced later this evening.

Events/activities being impacted by the weather include:

  • CAB Underground Lounge featuring Jeffrey Jay (Time and Location Change) — Wednesday, February 25, Sparty’s Den, 4 p.m.
  • Men’s basketball game between USC Upstate and Lipscomb will begin at 6 p.m.  (Time Change)
  • Joffe’s Obama & Merkel (Canceled)
  • “Dear White People” Movie Screening (Postponed)

New date/time TBD

  • The Baseball games for Thursday and Friday have been canceled

In the event campus is closed on Thursday, the following event will be POSTPONED:

  • USC Upstate Streetball Classic

University officials will continue to monitor the weather and its potential effects on operations and remain in communication with Spartanburg County and Greenville County Governments regarding decisions on delays or closings.

As a state agency, the University must follow the delay and closing determinations of Spartanburg/Greenville County Government. (Please note this is not the school districts.)

In the event of a delay or closing, we will send notifications using the SpartAlert text messages, email, social media and USC Upstate home page. We will also notify local news outlets to include our delays and closings with their announcements.
