Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate softball team will play its first midweek doubleheader of the season when it makes the short drive to Greenville, S.C., to take on Furman in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Pepsi Stadium, weather permitting.

In addition to battling an in-state rival, history will be on the line as Shellie Robinson enters the doubleheader just two hits shy of tying and three from breaking Upstate’s Division I era career hits record. She enters the games with 205 in her career and is chasing the mark of 207 held by all-time great Kim (Brasil) Hanes, who collected 207 hits from 2008-11.
