Upstate's Neibert Directs Spartanburg Little Theatre's Production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"

Neibert LeeWhen USC Upstate’s Lee Neibert was asked to direct Spartanburg Little Theatre’s production of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” he couldn’t help but be excited.

“I kind of perked up. I think any Tennessee Williams title does that,” Neibert said. “He’s just such a brilliant writer, and he’s known as one of America’s most brilliant playwrights.

Neibert also is directing two former USC Upstate students in the play, Anna Elyse Lewis (Maggie) and Josh Wilson (Brick, Big Daddy’s son).

See “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” Friday through Sunday and again March 13-15 at the Chapman Cultural Center, mendacity is not only used in the dialogue, but it can be felt in the actions of some of its central characters.
