The University of South Carolina Upstate is pleased to announce an upcoming performance of the Commercial Music program’s Honors Concert on Sunday, March 22.
The performance will begin at 3 p.m. at the David W. Reid Theatre at the Chapman Cultural Center located in downtown Spartanburg.
Student ensembles and selected soloists from the Commercial Music program will perform pop, rock, jazz, classical and original music. Finalists in the Third Annual USC Upstate Songwriting Competition will premiere their award-winning songs.
“We are consistently grateful for these opportunities afforded to us by the Chapman Center to showcase our very talented students and vibrantly growing Commercial Music program for music lovers throughout the Upstate South Carolina region,” said Tricia Oney, coordinator of music at USC Upstate.
This concert is free and open to the public.
