Patel started as an adolescent learning the skills and leadership it takes to be a successful entrepreneur while working with his family’s hotel business. While at full-time student at USC Upstate, Patel also worked full-time at Verizon Wireless as a customer service representative and later as a sales representative. In 2006, he was ranked second in sales (out of 350 sales reps) in the Carolinas and Tennessee region for making 167 percent of quota. Patel moved into the corporate management side of Verizon Wireless and received what he says was the “best training in the industry.” In 2007, while a student in the University’s new Business Enterprise class, he formulated a business plan to start his own Verizon Wireless retail outlet. The plan then led to a trade partnership (franchise agreement) under the name Wireless Communications. He opened his first Wireless Communications store on Pelham Road in Greenville in October 2008and a second location on Augusta Road just two months.

Patel currently oversees the daily operations of 46 Verizon Wireless retail locations throughout South Carolina, Georgia & Texas. With this success, Patel and the company have earned awards from Verizon Wireless, in all categories. Verizon has also given Wireless Communications the title of Premium Wireless Retailer because of his success and growth in just three years. In 2012, Inc. magazine ranked Wireless Communications, Verizon Wireless Premium Retailer NO. 25 on its 31st annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. In addition, the company ranked No. 2 overall in the Retail Industry.

In 2013, Krish was accepted into Harvard Business School Key Executive Program and Owner President Management class 47. These programs are designed to develop the outlook, skills, and leadership ability senior executives require to succeed.
