Javellana joined Zappos.com, Inc. in 2007 as a human resources generalist where she quickly rose through the ranks to lead the team as the employee relations manager. She is currently sharing her knowledge of how Zappos created a Human Resources Department that is both fun and a little weird in her role of speaker of the house for Zappos Insights. Prior to joining Zappos, she had more than 10 years of experience in Human Resources within the retail, hotel/casino, and food and beverage industries.
Zappos.com is an online shoe and clothing shop based in Las Vegas, Nev., and is one of the world’s largest online shoe stores. The company’s unique culture and customer service philosophy has led to the company being named to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” and the J.D. Power Customer Service Champions List.
The program is sponsored by the Johnson Innovation Fund, Wells Fargo and the USC Upstate Foundation.
