Macon, Ga. – USC Upstate senior guard Travonda Haddock has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Co-Player of the Week for the first time in her career, league officials announced today.
Haddock scored a new career-high 20 points in Upstate’s 58-41 victory at NJIT on Saturday which opened conference play. The Pollocksville, N.C. native tied a career-high with eight field goals made and was perfect from behind the three-point and free throw line while shooting 72.7 percent from the field. She tied a career-high with four steals and pulled down six rebounds.
Haddock is the second Spartan to win a weekly award from the conference, joining classmate Brittany Starling as Player of the Week award winners.
Upstate travels to Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
