The Office of Service-Learning and Community Engagement is pleased to announce the University’s participation in recognizing an outstanding student for the Newman Civic Fellows Award offered by Campus Compact. Please consider nominating a deserving student for this award.
Newman Civic Fellows Award
The Newman Civic Fellows Award honors inspiring Sophomore and Junior student leaders who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions to the challenges facing communities throughout the country.
Through service, research, and advocacy, Newman Civic Fellows are making the most of their college experiences to better understand themselves, the root causes of social issues, and effective mechanisms for creating lasting change. These students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders. They serve as national examples of the role that higher education can—and does—play in building a better world.
All completed nominations must be submitted to the Office of Service-Learning and Community Engagement via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or directly to Kara Ferguson at email@example.com by February 17, 2016 at 3pm.
