Nominate A Student for the Earl Gordon Medal

Nominations are being sought for the annual Earl Gordon Medal Award. The award has been presented each year to a student since 1981.

The award is named for the first dean of students at the University, Earl Gordon, who died in January 1981, and is presented each year to two members of the graduating class based on their service to the university and its students, involvement in campus activities, service to the community, and nobility of character- qualities that were reflected in the life of Gordon.

Applicants must have completed all of the requirements to graduate from Upstate in August 2015, December 2015 or May 2016, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

Other things to consider include:

  • Volunteer/Service/USC Upstate, Local , Regional, State or National
  • Leadership Service

Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 26, 2016.
