Milwaukee, Wis. – USC Upstate senior center Brittany Starling has been named to the WBI All-Tournament team, WBI officials announced on Monday.
Starling averaged 17.3 points per game and 13.3 rebounds per game during Upstate’s three games in the tournament. The Sumter, S.C. native recorded a double-double in her final three collegiate games and scored the game-winning basket with five seconds remaining in Upstate’s 71-69 victory at Northern Kentucky in the opening round on March 17. In her final game at the Hodge Center on March 19, Starling scored 23 points as part of Upstate’s 81-78 victory over Western Illinois.
Upstate finished with a Division I era-record 22 wins during the 2015-16 season. The 22 wins are the third-most in school history.
