What's AmeriCorps? Learn More About it, March 14-17

The University of South Carolina Upstate will celebrate AmeriCorps members — former and current — and their service in communities throughout the nation.

AmeriCorps Week 2016 will take place from Monday, March 14 to Thursday, March 17.

Events will include:

Monday, March 14

“60 Seconds of Service: PB&J Sandwich Making”– 11 a.m. -12 p.m. — Campus Life Center 1st Floor Lobby

Take a moment to make a PB&J sandwich for someone who may not know where their next meal is coming from. All sandwiches will be donated to the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen.

Tuesday, March 15

“AmeriCorps Photo Booth” — 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. — Campus Life Center 2nd Floor Lobby

Bring your friends and take pictures in a photo booth and learn more about AmeriCorps.

Wednesday, March 16

“60 Seconds of Service: Kits for the Homeless” — 11 a.m. -2 p.m. — Campus Life Center 2nd Floor Lobby

All you need is 60 seconds to make a toiletry kit to help those living in homelessness in Spartanburg. A minute of your time will help someone in need greatly. All kits will be donated to the Spartanburg Interfaith Hospitality Network (SPIHN).

Thursday, March 17

“Volunteer Fair” — 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. — Campus Life Center 2nd Floor Lobby
