The University of South Carolina Upstate will host Admitted Student Day on Friday, April 22, 2016. Accepted new freshmen are invited to campus to not only get acquainted with the university, but to learn how to use various campus technologies, setup their official USC Upstate email account and to finalize their financial aid and housing information.
“Our Admitted Student Day provides students with the perfect opportunity to familiarize themselves with the USC Upstate campus while answering any questions they may have about the enrollment process,” said Donette Stewart, vice chancellor of Enrollment Services. “We are excited to welcome these new students to the USC Upstate Family and help them get their college experience off to a positive start.”
Accepted students will meet Upstate faculty and members of their class and learn about the many activities and groups that are available to students through the office of student life.
Admitted Student Day begins at 10:00 a.m. in the University Readiness Center where students will hear from the heads of enrollment services, residential life and student organizations. The day continues with breakout sessions with specific information about students’ majors and mini college classes.
After lunch, students can attend help sessions, get assistance with technology questions or complete their financial aid and housing applications. The day concludes with optional math and/or foreign language placement testing.
