USC Upstate junior outfielder Ryan Rector was recognized for her performance last week as she was named on Tuesday the A-Sun Softball Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
Rector hit a team-best .833 last week after going 5-for-6 at the plate with three home runs, three runs scored, four RBI and 14 total bases. The junior also contributed a .857 on-base percentage and 2.333 slugging percentage. Rector also had two multi-hit games and drove in two or more runs once.
For the second time this season, Rector hit three home runs in a game during the second contest of a doubleheader at Stetson. She finished the game going 3-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored. Rector added two hits, one RBI and one stolen base in game one with the Hatters.
Rector enters the week leading the A-Sun with 14 home runs, 40 RBI and a .803 slugging percentage, while ranking third in hitting at .368.
