The University of South Carolina Upstate Library is excited to welcome more than 85 participants for the inaugural Transforming Librarians Conference May 5, 2016.

Registrants from South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina will participate in the one-day conference, “Transforming Librarians Through Technology,” from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the USC Upstate Library.

This conference will focus on how library services and librarians are emerging because of technology. The conference will include 10 lightning round sessions that highlight technology tools and ways of using them in the library; a keynote presentation by Glenn Bunton, director of Library Technology Services at the University of South Carolina in Columbia; and a lab set up so that librarians can test different technology tools that may be useful to them.
