The University of South Carolina Upstate remembered student-athlete James Campbell during a dedication ceremony at the County University Soccer Stadium Saturday, October 1.

A bench was in memory of the 21-year-old Greenville native who died October 11, 2015 following a car accident that claimed the lives of three other USC Upstate students and left one student injured.

A resident of Greenville, James was a junior at USC Upstate where he was majoring in business administration (accounting). He was a member of Brookwood Church and a 2013 graduate of J.L. Mann High School.

James is survived by his parents, Emily and Shawn Campbell, a sister, Cailey, and brothers, Hunter and Landon. He is also survived by grandparents LaDonna and Robert Campbell and Martha and Dennis Martin.
