LakePoint, Ga. – For the second time in his career, USC Upstate senior center Michael Buchanan has been tabbed the ASUN Men’s Basketball Player of the Week following his performance last week in two road games at Charlotte and College of Charleston, the league office announced this afternoon.

Buchanan came off the bench in both games to average a double-double of 22.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as the Spartans went 1-1 highlighted by a 108-103 overtime victory at Charlotte. The senior began the week by going 11-of-14 (78.6%) from the field and scored a season-high 24 points while tying his career-high of 14 rebounds against Charlotte. The double-double turned in by Buchanan was his first of 2016-17 and 11th of his career.
