USC Upstate Jazz Night, Tuesday, November 29

Don’t miss USC Upstate’s Jazz Night featuring the Jazz Combo, Guitar Ensemble and Steel Pan Fusion artist Jonathan Scales as they perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 29 in the Studio Theatre at the Humanities and Performing Arts Center.

The Upstate Jazz Combo performs the music of  Miles Davis. The performance will include not only Davis’s compositions, but also songs he performed and made his own.

The USC Upstate Guitar Ensemble will be performing jazz and pop from artists such as Horace Silver, Antonio Carlos Jobim, and the Beatles.

The fall program will also feature a rousing performance from Asheville-based steel pan fusion artist Jonathan Scales, (http://www.jonscales.com). He will perform his original music with the USC Upstate faculty then join the Upstate ensembles for a selection or two.

The concert is FREE for students, faculty and staff; $5 for the public.
