Did you resolve to be a little healthier in 2017? USC Upstate can help.
Sign up to participate in Walk Upstate, a 15-week event sponsored by USC Upstate as a means of improving the health of employees through physical activity.
The goal of the program is to motivate all employees to walk at least one mile a day or a minimum of 100 miles in 15 weeks. Other forms of cardiovascular (aerobic) exercise are encouraged: 20 minutes of aerobic exercise is the equivalent of one mile (you will receive a mileage conversion sheet). Upon completion of the program, we will get together to enjoy a nice meal.
Individuals, participating on teams with a designated team captain, form and name their own teams. The team captain will fill out the Team Registration Form and the Individual Registration Forms and send to Lauren Greene no later than January 16.
The Weekly Team Mileage Form will be used by the captain to track team miles. Team mileage is reported to Lauren each Wednesday. The first week’s mileage will be due on January 25. If you need a “fit tracker” the campus Bookstore has some in stock.
