Volunteer Services Announces Exceptional Student Service Award

February 20, 2017 at 11:49 am

The Exceptional Student Service Award is awarded each month to an individual student AND a registered student organization that has exhibited exceptional commitment to supporting the needs and interests of our community locally, nationally, and/or globally through direct community service.  The student and student organization with the most service hours each month will be recognized and awarded a gift certificate, in addition to being featured on the Volunteer Services bulletin board in the Sansbury Campus Life Center!

Prizes:
Individual – $25.00 gift certificate to use on campus
Student Organization – $100.00 to use for Sodexo catering

What Counts As Service?
In order to meet the guidelines of this challenge, service hours must be extra-curricular. This means hours completed for a class requirement OR as part of a disciplinary sanction are not eligible for consideration. Additionally, individual service hours must be completed by students on their own time and not organized by a student organization.

Where Do I Submit My Hours?
You submit your service hours or your organization’s service hours by completing the “Service Project Report Form,” available by accessing the form through Agora.
