Join us for an interactive session with peer discussion andsharing of course outlines, syllabi and experiences during a course design workshop “Preparing Students for the Future: Voices from STEM Faculty.”
The workshop will be held from 12 – 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 in Media 238.
Presenters will be:
- Dr. Chris Bender, associate professor of chemistry and assistant chair of the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering, “Lions and Telomeres and Beakers (oh my!)—a Yellow Brick Road Map for Student Success in the Sciences.”
- Tim Ellis, senior instructor, Engineering Technology Management program coordinator, Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering, “Teaching, Advising, and Recruiting Strategies in the 2+2 Engineering Technology Management and the Advanced Manufacturing Management Programs.”
- Dr. Amanda Schwartz, assistant professor of computer science in the Division of Math and Computer Science, “Women in Technology: Simple Steps We Can Take to Help Close the Gender Gap in STEM”
