USC Upstate sophomore outfielder Brittany Case was named the ASUN Player of the Week by College Sports Madness on Tuesday following her performance at the plate last weekend as the Spartans won their third straight ASUN series after taking two out of three on the road at Jacksonville.

Case was one of two players to compile a .600 (6-for-10) average offensively and tallied eight total bases to go with a .800 slugging percentage and .636 on-base percentage. She also contributed three runs scored, one triple and one RBI. Case started all three games in left field.

She recorded two hits in each of the three games highlighted by a 2-for-2 performance, one triple and one RBI in the series opener against the Dolphins. Case followed that performance in game two with two more hits in four plate appearances, and again went 2-for-4 with three runs scored in the series finale. The three runs scored in game three tied her career-high.

Case is the third Upstate softball player to earn Madness ASUN Player of the Week honors this season, joining teammates Lexi Shubert and Holly McKinnon.
