7th Annual George Spring Career and Internship Fair Attracts USC Upstate Students, Alumni and Area Employers

A premier networking and hiring event for students seeking internships and new career opportunities will be held at the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics in downtown Spartanburg on Friday, Feb. 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“The 7th Annual George Spring Career and Internship Fair attracts nearly 150 students each year,” said Hannah Terpack, freshman advisor at The George. “This two-hour program packs a punch by engaging attendees with approximately 25 employers, many of whom are USC Upstate alumni who have specific hiring needs for various majors. In fact, year after year, dozens of our students and new graduates have launched successful careers by attending.”

According to Terpack, the following employers are confirmed to participate: Adidas, American Credit Acceptance, AFL,  Boiler Tube of America,  BMW, Cline, Brandt, Kochenower & Co., PA,  Denny’s Corporate; Draexlmaier, Edward Jones,  Enterprise, Fuddruckers, Penske, SC Office of the State Auditor,  ScanSource, Sherwin Williams, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, TD Bank, Tindall Corporation; Tribe 513, Verizon, Waffle House, and ZF Transmissions.

This event is open to USC Upstate students in all majors and alumni. Participants should wear professional attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes. The George is located at 160 East Saint John St.
