USC Upstate Offers 12 Foreign Language Classes for Personal, Professional Enrichment

The University of South Carolina Upstate’s World Languages Institute will offer instruction in 12 foreign languages this spring in non-credit personal enrichment courses. Classes start the week of April 2, 2018 and run through the week of May 4, 2018.

No foreign language experience is required to register.  Participants will receive a “certificate of recognition” from the Center for International Studies at USC Upstate.

Classes are:

  • Arabic 1 – Level 1 (Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m.)
  • Chinese for Business – Level 1 (Mondays and Wednesdays 12-1 p.m.)
  • Chinese for Travel – Level 1 (Mondays and Wednesdays 10 – 11 a.m.)
  • English – Level 1 (Mondays 6-8 p.m.)
  • French – Level 1 (Wednesdays 11 a.m.-1 p.m.)
  • German – Level 1 (TBA)
  • Hebrew – Level 1 (Tuesdays 4-6 p.m.)
  • Hebrew – Level 2 (TBA)
  • Italian – Level 2 (Fridays 3-5 p.m.)
  • Russian – Level 1 (Mondays 6-8 p.m.)
  • Spanish – Level 1 (Thursdays 3:30-5:30 p.m.)
  • Swahili – Level 1 (Thursdays 10 a.m.-12 p.m.)
  • Turkish – Level 1 (Mondays 4-6 p.m.)
  • Ukranian – Level 1 (Tuesdays 6-8 p.m.)
