USC Upstate Nursing Students to Assist Athletes at Special Olympics

More than 50 students from the Mary Black School of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Upstate will engage in hands-on learning as they assist athletes during the Special Olympics Area 4 Spring Games. The games will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Furman University, 3300 Poinsett Highway, Greenville.

Pediatric nursing students, from both the Greenville and Spartanburg campuses, will be paired with Special Olympic athletes to help them as needed throughout the day.

In the event of rain, the games will be held Friday, April 20.
