Veronica Quick, a graphic designer with the University of South Carolina Upstate, has won the 2010 Logo Contest sponsored by the Media Women of South Carolina (MWSC). The contest spearheads the effort to develop a web presence for the organization affiliated with the National Federation of Presswomen (NFPW).
Quick graduated from USC Upstate in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Art Studio with an emphasis in graphic design.
“Veronica’s design is simple yet clear. By incorporating a speech bubble around the name of our organization, it captures the essence of communication. It begins with thought, supported by freedom of speech, and is open to all the different ways our members are working in the field. This design will be instrumental as we build awareness of our organization,” said Kim Atchley, newly elected president of MWSC.
The award for winning the contest is a year’s membership to both MWSC and NFPW. The organizations work to provide support for media professionals through networking, education, and leadership opportunities.
Since 1980, MWSC has been the state affiliate for the NFPW, a dynamic nationwide organization of professional women and men pursuing careers across the curriculum.
