First Ever Spartan Story Slam

September 14, 2010 at 2:10 pm

Spartan Story Slam is a story telling organization based in Spartanburg. The events are held one Monday every other month at Sonny’s Brick Oven Pizza and feature seven storytellers, each sharing a five minute true story based on the evening’s theme and drawn from the storyteller’s personal experience and are told without notes. The first ever Spartan Story Slam will be held on Monday, September 27 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Sonny’s Brick Oven Pizza (203 W. St. John St., Spartanburg, SC 29306). The theme for our stories on September 27 will be “FIRSTS: Tales of the first time I ________.” If you’ve got a great example pf something that made you say “Well there’s a first time for everything,” contact to reserve your spot at the story slam. Stories should be true, told without notes and be around 5 to 7 minutes long. Don’t have a story to tell? Make plans to come anyway to have a great time and help us select the winner from the month’s line-up. Visit the web for more details, or search Facebook for Spartan Story Slam. Here’s a slam poster FINAL to keep.
