Professional Development Session – Discrimination and Harassment Prevention and Response

The Office of Employee Relations and Equal Opportunity invites you to participate in a professional development session titled, “Discrimination and Harassment Prevention and Response.”
Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Deming Room, Rampey Center

The goal of this session is to increase employees’ basic knowledge and skills in preventing and responding to discrimination and harassment based on categories of protected law. Participants will learn how discrimination and harassment are defined by university policies. Specific emphasis will be placed on rights and responsibilities of employees and supervisors.

Information covered will include:

• Understanding protected class

• Defining discrimination and harassment

• Behaviors associated with discrimination and harassment

• Consequences of discrimination and harassment

• Discrimination and harassment prevention and resolution

• Campus resources
