Authors@Upstate Welcomes Susan Tekulve

Spartanburg, S.C — The Authors @ Upstate Visiting Writers Series continues this year’s events with a reading and signing by Susan Tekulve at the University of South Carolina Upstate’s JM Smith Boardroom of the Health and Education Complex on Thursday, February 10, at 4 p.m. A book signing and reception will follow the reading. The event is free and open to the public. Copies of her books may be purchased at the university bookstore.

Tekulve, the author of two story collections, My Mother’s War Stories (2004) and Savage Pilgrims (2010), is the recipient of numerous awards for her fiction and nonfiction, including the Winnow Press prize for fiction, a Tennessee Williams Fiction Scholarship, and a Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Scholarship. She teaches in the creative and professional writing program at Converse College.
