Celebrate Women's History Month at the Ada Lovelace Blog-A-Thon

March 14, 2011 at 9:15 am

The Center for Women’s and Gender Studies will host the Ada Lovelace Blog-a-Thon on March 24 in the lower quad area from 12:00 – 1:40 p.m.
Ada Lovelace was a pioneer for women in science and technology, the world’s first computer programmer and inventor of the first algorithm processed by a machine. Improve students’ understanding and awareness in the gap between men and women in the field of technology, science and mathematics; educate students and community on the contributions of women in technology; and raise awareness about career opportunities for women interested in the field.
