Graduation: Tickets Issued In Case of Inclement Weather

Attention 2011 May And August Graduates:

Please remember to pick up your tickets for inclement weather.  Tickets will be available April 29 and Monday, May 2, in the HPAC Box Office during the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. You MUST show your student ID card and sign for the tickets. Tickets MUST be picked up by Monday, May 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.

Each graduate will be issued three (3) auditorium tickets to provide guests a live viewing of commencement and three (3) arena tickets (located in the lower level of the auditorium) to allow guests to view the  video streaming of the event.   The doors to the arena for the live video viewing will be open by 6:40 p.m. prior to the 7:00 p.m. ceremony. Participating Faculty: 
Should the “severe weather plan” be implemented, participating faculty will gather in the arena of the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium no later than 6:30 p.m. dressed in full academic regalia. Faculty members do not need tickets. Academic regalia will serve as their ticket. The faculty should be ready to process at 6:50 p.m.

In the event of severe weather, the Commencement ceremony will move to the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, located in downtown Spartanburg.  The decision to implement the “severe weather plan” will be made by noon the day of commencement.  If we move locations, the decision will be posted on the university’s website ( by 12:15.
