Johnson to deliver talk, "She Do the Personality Disorder in Different Voices"

Lisa Johnson will be giving the opening keynote lecture on Nov. 3, 2011 at the Composing Disability Symposium at George Washington University in Washington, DC.  The talk is titled “She Do the Personality Disorder in Different Voices.” Next week, she will present a paper on representations of Borderline Personality Disorder in the film, “Black Swan,” from the perspective of feminist disability studies on a panel she organized, titled “Crip Theory and/as Feminist Methodology” at the National Women’s Studies Conference in Atlanta, Ga.  Johnson is director of the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies, and associate professor in the Department of Sociology, Criminal Justice and Women’s Studies.
