Byrnes Freshman Academy Students Exhibit Artwork at Focus Gallery

The Focus Gallery at the University of South Carolina Upstate is pleased to present an exhibition of student artwork from James F. Byrnes Freshman Academy. It will be on display from October 1 – 31, 2012 in the gallery which is located on the second floor of the Humanities and Performing Arts Center.  The gallery will host a reception for students, their family and teachers, on October 16 at 4:30 p.m. All Focus Gallery events are free and open to the public.

The Focus Gallery (Featuring Outside Creative Undertakings of Students) and the University of South Carolina Upstate work together with local schools to feature student artwork produced in standards-based visual art classrooms. The Focus Gallery creates a distinctive learning environment for art education students as well as the young artists which the gallery features.

The following students have been chosen to display their artwork: Carolina Jimenez, Will Hyatt, McKenley Bradley, Mary Funderburk, Emily Simpson, Daniel Gibson, Reggal Jones, Destinee Panyasiri, Owen Waters, Joey Selvey, Carlos Seay, Kelsey Frost, Chris Steele, Abby DeMersseman, Austin Sturgill, and Savanna Lewis.
