ITS implements call queue system

January 29, 2013 at 4:57 pm

The USC Upstate ITS Help Desk has implemented a call queue system to improve the quality and speed of service to our students, faculty, and staff.

Due to the high volume of calls the Help Desk receives, callers were being forced to leave voicemails instead of talking to a technician. The call queue will ensure you are able to speak to a technician rather than being forced to leave a voicemail. Please don’t worry, you’ll still have the option to leave a voicemail if the issue doesn’t require immediate attention.

Please be aware that when you call to the ITS Help Desk you will hear a short informational message that provides information for self-help to expedite services. If you wish to skip the welcome message press the * or # key to be placed directly into the call queue for a technician to answer.

As always, please feel free to contact the helpdesk with any questions or concerns at 864-503-5257 or email us at
