SIGNS of the times: Silent night

April 12, 2013 at 11:48 am

Did you know….

There are opportunities in the Upstate for community members to practice and develop ASL skills.  There are ‘Silent Night Dinners’ at Westgate Mall in Spartanburg on the second Friday of every month at 6 p.m., and every Friday at 6 p.m. at Haywood Mall in Greenville.  Attended by members of the deaf community and ASL students alike, these dinners are open to any community members who want to eat a silent meal communicating in sign language.  Everyone is welcome, even if you know minimal sign language!

The weekly SIGNS of the Times are brought to you by Margaret Camp, director of Disability Services and ADA coordinator.
