A group of French-speaking Swiss artists are visiting Spartanburg this week as part of an exhibition at the Chapman Cultural Center.

From Bourg to Burg is an international exhibition that opened Oct. 22 featuring contemporary works by nine artists living and working in Fribourg, Switzerland. The exhibition idea originated with Lisa Anderson, a former professor at the University of South Carolina Upstate and member of the Swiss Club, who is serving as SAM’s cultural liaison between Fribourg and Spartanburg.

Six of the nine artists are coming to visiting Spartanburg  and on Tuesday will visit USC Upstate.
Here’s where you’ll find them on campus:

1:15 – 2 p.m.  — Informal Reception in HPAC for students to interact with the artists

2 – 3 p.m. — Visit classes

5 – 6 p.m. —  panel discussion located at the George
