Upstate Alum Recognized for Supporting Diabetes Research

Upstate alum Corey Parker has been recognized for his work at an Upstate school.

Parker, a teacher at Woodland Elementary School, received the American Diabetes Association’s South Carolina Lifetime Achievement Award for organizing the school’s annual School Walk for Diabetes program. In the past eight years, Parker has helped to raise more than $160,000 for the association.
