Spartanburg, S.C. – With several Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament seeds still up for grabs, the USC Upstate men’s basketball team closes out the 2013-14 regular season Friday night at 7 p.m. on CSS when the Spartans welcome ETSU to the Hodge Center.

It’s also “Senior Night” for four members of the men’s team. Ricardo Glenn, Torrey Craig, Jodd Maxey and Babatunde Olumuyiwa will each be honored in a Senior Day ceremony at the conclusion of the game.

USC Upstate and ETSU feature identical conference records and will play Friday for the right to be the No. 3 seed in next week’s A-Sun tournament. Depending on Thursday’s league results, the loser of Friday’s game will finish as either the No. 4 seed or No. 5 seed.

Upstate and ETSU will be meeting on the hardwood for the 14th time when the two teams tipoff Friday. ETSU leads Upstate 8-5 in the all-time series that dates back to the 2007-08 season. Upstate, however, has won four straight meetings against ETSU, which includes a 75-63 victory over the Buccaneers earlier this year at the ETSU Athletic Center. Upstate is 3-3 all-time against ETSU when playing inside the Hodge Center. ETSU has lost three straight in Spartanburg and has not won inside the Hodge Center since 2010.
