Spartans Move Up the Leaderboard in Final Round at Kiawah Classic

Kiawah Island, S.C. – Playing in cold and windy conditions, USC Upstate shot its lowest round of the tournament in the final round, carding a 328 to finish 28th in the largest tournament in women’s college golf at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic Tuesday afternoon.

Amanda Hall led Upstate again on Tuesday, shooting a 77 for her second consecutive round in the 70’s. She lowered her score in each round of the tournament and finished tied for 70th with a 236 total in a field of 192 players.

Kent State’s Wad Phaewchimplee and Boston College’s Katia Joo shared medalist honors with a 4-under-par 220 total.
