Spartanburg, S.C. – Gardner-Webb rallied for six runs over the final four innings to erase a two-run deficit on its way to an 8-4 victory over USC Upstate Wednesday evening from Harley Park.

Upstate picked up two runs in the first inning as RBI leaders Erik Samples and Zach Krider each tallied one run driven in apiece. Right fielder Tyler Lesch opened the frame with a double to left-center field and came around to score when Samples tripled into the right field gap. Krider capped the scoring with a groundout to the right side to plate Samples.
