Training Set for Aug. 8 on Recent Changes to Prevention, Reporting of Sexual Misconduct Laws

July 21, 2014 at 10:02 am

Please plan to attend a training session at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 in the Campus Life Center Ballroom on recent changes related to federal laws relating to prevention and reporting of sexual misconduct.

This training is required for all faculty, staff and student workers.  P

Crystal Rookard, general counsel at Midlands Tech, will explain our part in this important issue.  The presentation also will be streamed live to the University Center, room 125.

This training will now be required for all, and will be available on line in a format similar to our OSHA training very soon for those who cannot attend.  You will be tested on the material either way, as required by the US Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights in their April 2014 guidance document, Questions and Answers on Title IX and Sexual Violence.

If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Caggiano at 503-5886.
