USC Upstate Inducts 13 New Members to Beta Gamma Sigma

The University of South Carolina Upstate chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma recently inducted 13 members during a ceremony held April 23, 2105 in the Fairforest Room at The Piedmont Club.

Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. BGS membership provides the highest recognition a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

During the ceremony led by Dr. Frank Rudisill, dean of the George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business, and faculty members, Dr. Frauk I. Tanyel, Dr. Elnora W. Stuart, Ms. Rebecca Goessel and Dr. Julie Wade, inductees pledged to maintain and uphold the ideals and principles of BGS—honor, wisdom and earnestness.​

The 2015 inductees are: Malika Allie of Cape Town South, South Africa; Haley Bertsche of Greenville; Garrison Haynes of Inman; Kiersten James of Gaffney; Samantha Medley of Gaffney; Jack Rubin of Buffalo Grove, Ill.; Isabel Von Stryk of Holm, Germany; Lanitra Bennett of Summerton; Alexandra Ewane of Spartanburg; Julie Holt of Summerville; Parks McLean of Inman; Rachel Miranda of Boiling Springs; and Marvin Schmiege of Berlin, Germany.
