May 8, 2017 at 9:02 am

A communications workshop will be held from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 11 in the Sansbury Campus Life Center, Room 309.

This workshop goes through interactive improvisational exercises to demonstrate how using these skills every day can open up new professional connections and creative pathways. Learn to make better offers to your students and coworkers and accept new ideas from unexpected places. It also will help you to feel more confident in presenting your ideas, fielding questions, and thinking on your feet. Need to learn to be a better listner? This workshop is designed to help you enhance that ability.

The workshop presenter is Allison Gilmore, who is currently the director of the doctoral program in business at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.  She teaches executive, full time and evening MBA students, as well as undergraduate students, the tools of improvisation for both their professional and academic careers.  With a degree in theatre from the College of Charleston, she is a sought after instructor, trainer, and keynote speaker in the field of spontaneous and intuitive leadership.  She builds upon over 20 years’ experience in improvisational comedy to help others become better communicators, team members, and leaders.

Dessert and beverages will be available after the session. Please RSVP to Lisa Caggiano at
