Angelica Figueroa Awarded Phi Mu Scholarship

Angelica Figueroa, a sophomore at the University of South Carolina Upstate, has received a Phi Mu Foundation Scholarship for the 2010-2011 academic year. She is double majoring in criminal justice and business.

Figueroa, a Spartanburg native, was one of 255 applicants who competed for a total of 125 graduate and undergraduate scholarships. Recipients were selected based on outstanding academic performance, involvement amongst their college campuses and communities, and recommendations from college and academic advisers. Phi Mu Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Phi Mu Fraternity and annually awards over $70,000 in scholarships as well as over $100,000 in educational and leadership grants. The Foundation is an organization built on shaping and enriching the lives of women everywhere.

“We are so proud of our scholarship recipients,” said Kathy Williams, executive director of Phi Mu Foundation. “These women truly exemplify our outstanding sisterhood.”
