USC Upstate junior Carol Sigaki was named to the ASUN Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team, conference officials announced Thursday evening. Sigaki earned a spot on the team for the second straight year and is one of four players during the Division I era to achieve that accomplishment.

Sigaki is the first player in program history to be named to multiple ASUN Women’s Tennis All-Academic Teams. A business major with a 4.0 GPA, Sigaki will be graduating in May.

In 2018, Sigaki posted a 5-14 record in singles and a 6-12 mark in doubles, playing primarily at the No. 1 spot for both singles and doubles. She concludes her collegiate career with 18 singles wins and 21 doubles wins.
