Parade and festival celebrate international influences, March 23

The Upstate International Festival parade starts 10 a.m. at E. Main and Dean Streets. This is the first parade, which is expected to become an annual event. The parade will end in Morgan Square where a “mini-festival,” called Meet the World on the Square, is scheduled until 2 p.m.

Signs of the times: USC Upstate hosts booth at annual American Sign Language (ASLville) event

Booths are hosted by different groups, and are set up to represent different businesses and areas within ASLville. USC Upstate’s booth was a mock veterinary clinic where participants could get information about a variety of pet issues.
