USC Upstate junior Christina Biggerstaff has been honored by the ASUN Conference for the third time this season as its Pitcher of the Week after the league announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon.

Biggerstaff was previously named ASUN Pitcher of the Week on April 9 and March 5.

The Houston, Texas native receives the weekly honor following her performance in the circle last week as USC Upstate posted a 2-1 record highlighted by a series sweep at Stetson. Biggerstaff compiled a 1-0 record in two appearances with one complete game. She gave up four earned runs over 7.1 innings pitched and walked just two batters while striking out 12.

In her only start of the week, Biggerstaff picked up the win with her 18^th complete game of the season and allowed one earned run on six hits, two walks and 12 strikeouts. It marked the seventh time this season she had recorded double-digit strikeouts in an appearance and third striking out 12 batters. Biggerstaff previously struck out 12 against East Tennessee State and North Florida.

She leads the ASUN this season with 207 strikeouts and 15 victories.
