Pan Paksanont Earns Second Consecutive ASUN All-Conference Selection

Braselton, Ga. – For the second straight season, Pan Paksanont has been named ASUN Second Team All-Conference as the league announced its women’s golf postseason awards during a ceremony held at the Legends Course at Chateau Elan on Saturday evening.

Paksanont was an ASUN Second Team All-Conference selection last year as well as earning the league’s Freshman of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

A native of Nonthaburi, Thailand, Paksanont played in all eight events for the Spartans this season and logged action in 20 rounds. She currently leads the team this season with a 74.10 stroke average while contributing four rounds of par or better. The sophomore compiled five top-10 and four top-5 finishes while recording three of the team’s top four rounds highlighted by a career-low score of 67 twice at the FAU Fall Invitational and Terrier Intercollegiate. She also carded a round of 69 at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic.

Paksanont finished runner-up twice this season, both career-best showings, at the Terrier Intercollegiate and Low Country Intercollegiate. She won the Oak Point Championship at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Spring Classic. Paksanont also finished tied for fourth at the Jacksonville Classic, tied for fifth at the FAU Fall Invitational and tied for ninth at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic. She did not post a round worse than 78 during the year.

She was named ASUN Women’s Golfer of the Week in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.
