Auditions for SLT’s production of the play The Mystery of Irma Vep will be held on September 15 & 16 in the theatre at the Chapman Cultural Center. The production will run from October 31-November 9, and will be directed by John Fagan.

Roles are available for 2 adult males.  Ability to perform with a British accent is required.  Auditions will consist of readings from the script.  The Mystery of Irma Vep is a fast-paced physical comedy and actors must be in good physical condition.

There’s drama, passion, and plenty of costumed surprises, when two actors take on 8 characters in this hilarious send-up of Victorian melodrama and gothic romance. When Lord Edgar Hillcrest and his new wife Lady Enid embark on a journey to find out what happened to Irma Vep, they are taken from their estate in England, all the way to Egypt with enough plot twists and costume changes to give you whiplash. A sidesplitting gothic spoof complete with werewolves, vampires and damsels in distress, the gender-bending tour-de-force The Mystery of Irma Vep will leave you breathless with laughter.
