The University Writing Center is now open for the fall 2010 semester.  Our operating hours are: MWF from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and TTh from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. 

Located in the Humanities & Performing Arts Center room 136, the University Writing Center offers one-on-one peer consultation for students writing across all disciplines.  During a visit, a consultant will listen to a client’s writing concerns, review a draft, and focus the session on one or two areas of difficulty.  The goal of our work in the Center is to help students improve their writing skills over time, not to edit or “fix” drafts.  We consult with students by appointment (503-5883).  Occasionally, though, we are able to accommodate walk-in clients.
