Thursday Afternoon Acting Group Presents “Searching for David’s Heart,” April 20-21

The Thursday Afternoon Acting Group (TAAG) at the University of South Carolina Upstate will present their spring semester play, “Searching for David’s Heart,” April 20-21, 2018.

Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20 and at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21 in the Studio Theatre located in the Humanities and Performing Arts Center on the campus of USC Upstate.

“Searching David’s Heart,” by Cherie Bennett is the story of 12-year-old Darcy Deeton who loves her older brother, David. After becoming jealous when he falls in love with Jayne Evans, Darcy inadvertently leads David to his death in a car accident. The Deetons decide to donate David’s most important organ, his heart. Guilt-ridden after the accident, Darcy goes in search of the recipient of David’s heart and, in turn, finds her own.
